The DeskShelf is a modular desk shelf you 3D print yourself. Plan yours here, to scale, on your own desk, before you print a single part.
Enter your desk size — standard or L-shaped — and the longest wooden dowel you can buy in a supported diameter (7/8", 22mm, 21mm, or 20mm).
Click a piece to add it, then drag it into place. Everything snaps together and matches real part sizes.
Your 3D print list, shopping list, and dowel cutting list build themselves as you go.

The DeskShelf Planner is a free online desk shelf builder and configurator for the DeskShelf System STL Pack, a modular 3D printed desk shelf designed by The Workspace Hero. Instead of guessing sizes, you design your shelf to scale on a drawing of your own desk, and the planner turns your design into a 3D print list, a shopping list, and a dowel cutting plan.
A modular desk shelf you 3D print yourself. Printed legs, shelves, drawers, and top covers combine with store-bought wooden dowels to build a custom shelf that fits your exact desk without any tools.
Yes, planning is completely free! The 3D print files for the parts come from the DeskShelf STL Pack.
Yes. Choose an L-shaped desk in step 1, then add a standard corner (30°, 45°, 60°, or 90°), or the space saving 90 degree corner, so your shelf turns and continues along the other side of your desk.
You need access to one. Either your own, a friend's, a makerspace, or a print service. The Small shelf size even fits compact printers like the A1 Mini. Not sure what to buy? See our 3D printer recommendations.
